On Friday, 28 June, around 30 cyclists gathered in front of Einbeck Town Hall for the HanseTreck. At the foot of the steps of the venerable town hall, a festive farewell to the modern and yet historic HanseTreck was organised at the stroke of the twelfth hour. The HanseTreck brings people, culture and history together. On the historic trade route, cycling enthusiasts bring sustainable and innovative Hanseatic goods to Lübeck on emission-free cargo bikes and bicycles. The trek will stop off in several Hanseatic cities along the route, with a local event planned in each.  From Einbeck, the first stage of the trek will first head to Alfeld in southern Lower Saxony. The trek will reach its destination on 6 July: Lübeck, the Queen of the Hansa.
