The call for applications is aimed at artists from the member cities of the Union of Cities THE HANSA. The entries are submitted via the member cities.

The aim of the HANSEartWORKS exhibition is to intensify knowledge about the historical and current identity of the Hanseatic League.

With its more than 300 monuments, Toruń is one of the most important cultural cities in Europe and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. HANSEartWORKS will be held in this historic centre of the city, namely in the courtyard of the Old Town Town Hall, in the outdoor area of the Fortress Museum and in the room for special exhibitions of the Old Town Town Hall.

The guiding theme is "Following the Common Path", both in the sense of the "old Hanseatic League" and the "new Hansa". Artists are free to work in traditional and/or new techniques.
