European Hanseatic Ensemble on the radio

14 young musicians from 6 nations have brought the repertoire of the old Hanseatic city of Magdeburg from the Reformation period back to life vocals, viols, cornettos and trombones. The recording will be broadcast on Sunday evening, 30 June, from 20:03 on Deutschlandfunk Kultur.

The European Hanseatic Ensemble performed in Schwerin Cathedral on 6 June 2024. The radio station Deutschlandfunk Kultur recorded the concert "Ein neues Lied heben wir an - Reformation im Norden" live and will broadcast it this Sunday, 30 June, from 20:03. The programme consists of Magdeburg compositions from the Reformation period. With its concert, the European Hanseatic Ensemble is making an important contribution to the rediscovery of the musical heritage of the Hanseatic period.

The concert can also be followed without radio via the Deutschlandfunk Kultur live stream.
