The program included among other, a visit to the Green Office located in Saxion University, a tour through the beautiful Cityhall with Mayor Ron Konig, a special Hansa citywalk and the physical challenge of climbing the Lebuinus tower which gave a spectacular view over the city and her surroundings. At the end of the day there was time for talk, relaxation and a Hanseatic beer, specially brewed by breweries from the all the Hanseatic Cities along the IJssel river.
Of course, there was also time to discover Deventer on your own. The group made use of this time by visiting the many picturesque streets, filled with many small boutiques. A characteristic for the Hanseatic City of Deventer. While not shopping, the weekly market offered various options of delicious fresh foods. The market still takes place on the same spot where the very important yearmarkets where held back in the Hanseatic day.
All and all it was quite the weekend with wide range of activities and a lot of 'gezelligheid' as the Dutch say. A special thanks to Nicoleta Mitut, Adel Faltas and Nienke Nijboer for making it possible to organize this amazing event and so have given the YouthHansa the chance to fall in love with Deventer.
