The 11th edition of the Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue (BSYD) took place from November 11-16, 2024 in Gdansk, Poland. 20 young people aged 18 to 28 from the Baltic Sea region accepted the invitation of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS)  to explore their common cultural heritage in input sessions, discussions and workshops. The event focused on the past and present of the Hanseatic League as well as the economic, political and cultural connections that have shaped the Baltic Sea region over the centuries.

Rachid Hamdaoui and Stefanie Bischof took part in the event on behalf of THE HANSA. They gave the participants an insight into the work of today's association of cities and the opportunities for young people to get involved. The program also included several excursions, including a visit to the town hall and two schools. The project was funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
