Tour guides dressed in traditional costumes await guests for a ‘Sünna Klaas Tour’ through the decorated streets of the Hanseatic city. The tours immerse visitors in the Christmas season of past generations: What did Christmas look like in the parlour of the Senator's house, and how did Mayor Hintze spoil his family at Christmas? Which spices were particularly popular during Advent? This 90-minute pre-Christmas guided tour takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m. until Christmas.
