On 29 October, Lübeck was awarded the title ‘Capital of Fair Trade’. The Hanseatic city impressed the jury with creative initiatives such as the ‘Capital of Fair Marzipan’, but also with the committed cooperation between the administration, business, education and civil society. Lübeck's commitment is inseparably linked to the work of the ‘Fair Hansa’, which has been working for more than ten years to make Hanseatic cities and Hanseatic days fair.

A total of ten municipalities were honoured by the Service Agency for Municipalities in One World (SKEW) for their outstanding commitment, including the city of Dortmund and the Rhine district of Neuss. Concentrated Hanseatic power, in other words!
