Hasselt

In the past, Hasselt was a thriving trading centre because of its location at a transport hub of land and waterways. That is why Hasselt today has many listed buildings to admire, for example the Oude Stadhuis, where the tourist information centre is now located. The lime kilns are a relic from the four hundred year history of lime burning. The old town of Hasselt with its many alleys and picturesque vistas is definitely worth a visit.
