With its Christmas huts, decorated streets and festive decorations, Stade's old town has been transformed into an Advent wonderland with Hanseatic charm.
The traditional Stade Christmas market takes place around the large Christmas pyramid on Pferdemarkt. Stalls offering delicacies, mulled wine and selected handicrafts await visitors. The hyggelige Hafen-Weihnacht (cosy harbour Christmas) takes place at the Fischmarkt. Cosy igloo seating, lounge areas by warming gas fires and lovingly decorated stalls offering a wide variety of delicacies conjure up a special atmosphere around the Hanseatic harbour. Lovers of craftsmanship will find what they are looking for at the arts and crafts market in the town hall on Advent weekends.
