Hansaweg

The Hansa Trail (Hansaweg), which has been awarded the ‘Wanderbares Deutschland’ quality seal since 2012, runs for 75 km from the Teutoburg Forest holiday region in North Rhine-Westphalia to the beautiful Weserbergland region in Lower Saxony with its romantic valleys and mountain landscapes.

The long-distance hiking trail leads through the Hanseatic towns of Herford and Lemgo, both of which are still active in the Union of Cities THE HANSA today. As a high-altitude trail, the Hansaweg constantly offers new views. In addition, hiker-friendly restaurants and overnight accommodation along the way invite you to linger.
