As a city with a history spanning over 1,000 years, Brilon has a lot to offer.
From the town hall as a guild hall, the Derker Gate as a monument to the city's defenses, to the market square with the Kump (a tower), Brilon's history bears impressive traces. The Brilon Local History Association preserves the stories of its citizens to this day, retells them, and offers visitors to the city an exciting journey through the centuries.
